Stopping to Smell the Tumbleweeds

In an effort to get out of dodge, er, Del Rio, Ben and I took a little driving trip with no destination in mind.  We drove northwest until hunger necessitated us to stop for sustenance and we landed in the sleepy town of Ozona, Texas - population of 3325.  The only restaurant open on a Saturday night (yes, Saturday of all days) was the Hitchin Post Steakhouse, which had surprisingly delectable burgers.  On the way home, I had Ben make a few stops so I could run around like a crazed maniac with my camera in tow.  It was totally worth it!

Wild Wild West

We have to make pilgrimages to San Antonio every so often for supplies and a taste of civilization.  While it's a very touristy area we have founds some neighborhoods that remind us of home.

Watching Grass Grow in Leakey, Texas

We spied a cute little lunch spot while driving through Leakey, TX.  What caught my eye was their sign advertising pepperoni and beef jerky, of course.  It didn't hurt that it was a great back drop for a few pictures!
